Yarn As An Obsession
You know how some people use food to ear their problems or frustrations away? (Although sometimes I do that too, depending on my mood. haha) Maybe they dance? Maybe they sing? So, I know people have their ways of dealing with troublesome days…
I guess that mine involves yarn. haha. Yeah, I had a rather unpleasant day yesterday and most times, SOMEONE tells me that I’m not allowed to spend money on yarn that I probably won’t use for awhile since I have too much already. I guess yesterday was an exception because all I could do was scream left and right about what was bugging me. It felt good, I must say. BUUUUUTTTttt… I felt empty still. Like there was something impulsive I still had to do to feel completely free of all the BS…
You’d think I’d probably just drink alcohol, maybe smoke a cig, exercise, play a video game, talk to a friend…the list goes on. All of those things didn’t even cross my mind once. LOL! What did cross my mind was that I had coupons to spend and that I couldn’t let the opportunity pass me up because I was in a vulnerable place. So, off to the store we went and I came back with my BEAUTIFUL ADDICTION because to me, it’s like crack. I got “hooked” and I never went back. :P LMAO! But I did end up buying 2 skeins and some circulars since I really don’t have many circular needles and someone requested I make a beanie for them. :) This was very controlled and plus, I know who’s getting the yarn once this awesome scarf project is done. hehe.
Let’s just say, it made my day after I turned it into an awesome looking ball! Actually, probably the best one I’ve made so far. hahaha. I’ll upload a picture later.
Anyway, I hope you all have a beautiful day as I will update later. :)
Remember kids, yarn is an obsession of mine…one of many years now. So please DO NOT be as impulsive as I am when it comes to spending your hard earned allowance. :P Nor should you collect as many skeins as me. hahaha. I can build a house with those skeins…one day I must count them all or take a picture. Someone remind me please and thank you. No needles, thread, or markers were hurt in the making of this blog.
